There aren’t many magazines I enjoy more than receiving a copy of Bon Appétit every month. If I had time to cook at home, I would swear by this magazine’s recipes. I read them for the articles over obsessions like properly steeped tea, cultured butter types, vegetables and holiday cookies.
I’m not usually the recipient of homemade desserts. I spent the most amazing lazy afternoon with a really good friend. Any time cake in this house is offered, you accept. I was blown away by this strawberry-almond cornmeal cake. In case the link ever breaks, here’s a photo.
I think this recipe would also go well with rhubarb, blueberry, mulberries or plums. Just sayin’.
