I walk by signs like this all the time. June is the LGBT Pride Month. As we try to promote equality rights, sexual diversity, and gender variances, signs like this make me wonder. It may not be the perfect example, but it got me to pause. I understand that men is the plural form of man, and man can mean the adult human male or a person of either sex.
Can this sign use different language to describe the same situation? Women may not make up majority of the “men” working above, but it does exist. We are all people. People working above. Workers working above. Rad persons working above. Maybe it costs more for extra letters to be printed. Maybe not.
